To solve this problem, we know that b = 1/2 and c = 1/4
The equation is 8(b/2) - (c + 4)
The problem is asking us to plug in 1/2 for b and 1/4 for c into the equation.
8(1/2/2) - (1/4 + 4) = 2 - 1/4 - 4 = -1/4 - 2 = - 9/4 (A)
