[tex] \frac{1}{100}=\frac{1}{10^{2}} [/tex]
A negative exponent switches the number to the other side of the line, so switch to the other side:
[tex] \frac{1}{10^{2}}=\frac{1*10^{-2}}{}=10^{-2} [/tex]
