Explain why the equation 12 /x/ + 24=-12 has no solution

First you would subtract 24 from both sides so you would have 12 lxl = -36
Then you would divide both sides by 12 so you would have lxl = -3
It has no solution because an absolute value is always positive and -3 is negative, and a positive number cannot be equal to a negative number.
