How did the Southern Delegates feel about slavery, and how did the Northern Delegates feel about slavery?

Answer:

They argued in favor of counting slaves. Northern states disagreed. The delegates compromised. A special committee worked out another compromise: Congress would have the power to ban the slave trade, But not until 1800.
